Meet Chris Jones, this guy started working on cars as a long-haired, broke teenage boy. His need to keep his '74 and '79 Ford Mustangs mobile drove him into his first “schooling” in the mechanic world. Chris got his first job in the industry as a Valet for Larry Miller Subaru. He quickly worked his way through the ranks of lube jockey, apprentice, and finally a technician, becoming fully certified in 2000. Chris was operating his own “shop” from his home garage serving family and friends through personal referrals. His education includes technical training classes through Napa Auto Care, Mitsubishi, Subaru and self-training guides through Motor Age. He is Master Certified with ASE which includes diesel repair. When he is not working hard in the shop, he is picking hard on his guitar in worship or spending quality time with his wife, 4 amazing kids, and dog. Whether it's hunting, camping, fishing, hiking, paddle boarding, nertz or cribbage games, this guy plays as hard as he works. His great love for his birth state and the great outdoors keeps him balanced with Idaho dirt and motor oil in his veins in equal measures. Because of his meager beginnings, Chris understands the value of hard-earned money. His commitment to excellent service, understanding the needs and priorities of his customers and quality work, make him the best kind of mechanic!

Meet Tawni Jones! This California-born Idahoan joined the team before there was a team. Her interest is 100% in people. Her service manager skills are growing with the business, but her love for meeting, greeting, and connecting with our customers is by far her favorite part of the job. Her years of volunteer work at churches and schools, caring for her grandma, raising 3 boys and a girl, and investing in family have perfectly equipped her for anything that shop life can throw at her. After 23 years of mothering at home, she is loving the new adventure of being “shop mom”. Her favorite non-shop pastimes include but are not limited to thrift-store shopping, camping, paddle boarding, and hiking with her favorite mechanic, 4 outstanding kids, her beloved fur baby, and quality time with all those she loves. Whether you are hankering for a cup of coffee, a snack, a listening ear, or a ride to or from the shop, Tawni is here for you!

The daughter of the shop Promise is a kind young lady who enjoys babysitting, making her dad coffee and keeping mom company at the shop.  Promise excels at being mom’s shopping buddy and spending girls-weekends together. This sweetheart relishes every time she skunks her family at Cribbage and beats us at Nerts.  She dreams of being a police officer someday and hopes her first car will be a baby blue Ford Bronco.  This sharpshooter has no trouble taking down a deer, an elk, and an antelope as long as she doesn’t have wake up too early to do it.

Meet Mekhi, the young man who can! This hard-working eager beaver jumps in and helps wherever he is needed from emptying garbage cans, directing traffic, leaf blowing, to pumping brakes or crawling in the tight spaces to retrieve parts or tools.  One thing is for sure; you can count on Mekhi!  There is no challenge this guy will shy away from.  Mekhi loves hunting, running and competition.  He has big plans to get ASE certified and someday run this shop and no doubt he will.   He will also redecorate it with all his trophy racks, feathers and mounts. 

This lovely lady has been with us for several years.  She has taken great care of our books and now she is moving into our receptionist position. Cheney Washington was her childhood stomping grounds.  Tara first discovered her interest in automotive repair when she purchased a 1991 CRX SI that she worked on and upgraded with performance parts.  She got the car world in her blood and even enjoyed helping a boyfriend at his transmission shop before joining our team and covering our books.  Tara is generous, sincere and loyal.  She spends her free time enjoying making all sorts of crafts, such as crocheting amazing little creatures and playing with her fur son Wilson.  Whenever Wilson is not requiring her full attention you will find Tara helping her friends, volunteering her time or donating her skill to benefit those around her.   With over 10 years of experience in customer service and 7 years running QuickBooks, we are excited to have her bring her kind serving heart and her sharp attention to detail to fill this new role. Tara is a true gem as you will soon discover when you get to see her in the shop.    

Meet Ava Jones, our only 4-legged team member. Quite honestly, Ava could not give two hoots about cars, however, what she lacks in automotive interest she more than makes up for in her fondness for people. From greeting our loyal customers to greeting our trusty parts delivery personnel, she loves them all. When she is not lounging in the shop, she is either hunting, walking, or playing keep away with her people. She accepts all pats and treats.

Santa Maria California was the first place to meet this fun guy.  His fondest memories of automotive repair come from his time with his dad in an old aluminum shed.  Watching his dad tinker with a classic 1977 Ford Truck while strengthening the father son bond, gave him a strong focus and more than a little knowledge.  Jamie just joined our team and we are eager to showcase what he brings with his caring heart and his love for customer service, we just know our customers are going to love the attentiveness, humor and kept promises as Jamie facilitates great repairs and maintenance services.  This father is proud call two men, one who wrestles Ostriches and one who masters tires, sons.  The two fur boys in his life keep him company on outdoor adventures while his dad keeps him sharp with his computer simulated racing games.  Jamie enjoys good music that stirs up treasured memories and time spent with good friends and he enjoys springing interesting facts on ya in the most random ways. For example, do you know who invented the first ever flexible plastic ice cube tray?  Turns out it was none other than Lloyd Geoff Copenan.  Who knew? I mean except Jamie.

Meet Ben Joseph Parrish, our champion apprentice. He is a natural-born spud with a passion for tinkering and an insatiable desire to understand how things work. As an early high school graduate with a drive and desire to get on a solid career path, Ben was the first addition to our team as our shop assistant, as well as attending college full-time. It was not long before Ben found his passion was better fulfilled as a technician. He has been a full-time apprentice tech ever since. He has been a great addition to our team from day one. Ben is meticulous and thorough with great attention to detail. He enjoys restoring cars and all things tinkering in his spare time, along with volleyball and good time with family and friends. Keep an eye out for this guy! He is going to be an ASE-certified Master Technician who will stand out in the industry for excellence in service and expertise.
